On Saturday 17 April the Drumblade community held a meet and greet braai at the Hydro for the mayor of Midvaal, Timothy Nast and his wife Kim. Four other Midvaal councillors joined us as well.
The men all gathered around the braais solving the problems of the world.
Maria, Helen and Hazel.
Mayor Nast presenting Elaine Potgieter, chairman of the Drumblade Conservancy, with a Boabab sculpture, because of all the areas in Midvaal, Drumblade ordered and planted the most trees from the municipality.
Duncan wanted to know if the mayor beat his own personal lap time of 35 seconds in the pool. He was not impressed when we told him the mayor did not swim.
Perhaps next time!
Basil has settled in well.
Here he is having a romp with Roxy, Alex and Nikki.
Whispering sweet nothings to Roxy.
This magnificent boy is Rocky, he is suffering from a broken pelvis after being hit by a car.
He really enjoys the Bemer treatment.
The Photizo gives him some relief from the pain.
Michelle rescued this baby Mossie from the pool. Its parents came around for a little while but then gave up.
We took him to a wonderful lady who rehabilitates wild birds and then releases them.
