Mr Brown

Mr Brown having his first swim without a life jacket. He's come on really well. Initially he wasn't too happy to go in the water and had to be coaxed in, and now he goes in by himself, knows exactly what to do, where to go and how to do it...all on his own. We're his impressed spectators and sideline coaches.

A family outing...

Mr Brown about to show Jasmine and his little girl, Savannah, how to swim.

Savannah, not too worried about making her human mom wet...getting a drying off so she doesn't shiver.

Look ma!!! I can swim!!!

Jasmine...first swim and churning the water like a jacuzzi. She settled in soon enough and swam like a pro

She even stood on the sidelines and cheered for the rest of her family.

Tyler

Mr Brown looking on as Tyler contemplates her swim.

Pretty girl...wearing the latest fashion in doggie swimwear

Swimming with ease...it looks like she's having a Sunday afternoon leisurely outing

Tyler, the Rhhodesian Ridgeback, came along with her kennel mate Mr Brown for a swim. She enjoyed the outing and the exercise and with her lovely relaxed Rhodesian Ridgeback temperament had a wonderful spa session.

Dad and Lad #2

This time it was Echo who came to watch dad swim. He also had a brief introduction to the feeling of wet feet...isn't the matching gear splendid?

Dad and Lad

Coppah (a 10 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback) came with his dad (Mr Brown) to learn about water. Mr Brown had his swim with Coppah looking on. He quite liked the feel of the water and will probably take to swimming easily (once he's a little older).

Mr Brown and Kharma

Mr Brown getting his leg measured to see if the exercise is putting on muscle in the right places. Not very dignified having someone measure that close to the unmentionables. The tucked in tail is to preserve his dignity.

Kharma and Mr Brown willing Michelle to drop the treats.

Kharma's first swim

A little enticement and an introduction to the wet, splashy stuff.

Mr Brown and Kharma looking very dashing in their safety jackets.

Splish, splash for the first few strokes.

And then she got the hang of it and swam like a champ.

Kharma, a beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback and Mr Brown's friend, came for her first swim. She was a little apprehensive at first and had to be coaxed into the water with some treats. There was a little splashing but she soon mastered a smooth stroke when she realised she wasn't going to drown. She's having some fitness and conditioning swims to look her best for the upcoming shows.

Picture post

First swim introduction with some help...don't you love the feet? Making use of the webbing between his toes to full effect.

Look ma! I can do it by myself!!

I'm a real princess. How do you like my jacket? Tanika getting ready for her swim.

I'm a little scared....

Promise you'll hold me tight and won't let go...

That wasn't so bad...especially when I have humans to dry my pretty feet.
